Can anyone recommend a good DC Servo Control How-to/turorial? (Not RC servos)

I'm working on a decent size project where I need to control a 200w servo for dynamic speeds and feedback. There are a bunch of how-tos and tutorials on doing this with RC servos using arduino's, but have yet found any clear or simple tutorials for AC or DC servos.
